The Leeds & Liverpool Canal Society

The Leeds & Liverpool Canal Society works to promote and preserve the Leeds Liverpool Canal. They are also custodians of the Leeds & Liverpool boat Kennet. They fund her restoration and use her as a floating visitor centre on the canal.

The Society produces a Newsletter which is a real gem, it has articles and photographs relating to the canal.

The Society is custodian of the Kennet a former Leeds & Liverpool Canal work boat.

Organised Canal Walks & Talks

The Society organizes regular walks on the towpath
