This milepost is shown on the older OS maps. It must have been removed when North Shore Mill (flour) which was alongside the towpath was demolished. The one mile milepost is shown on the 1954 National Survey OS map. The one and a half mile half milepost is shown on the 1991 milepost next to the railway bridge, it was found underneath the bridges. It has its top missing.
