The first bridge of the Leigh Branch is not a pretty one. Function was obviously prefered to style here. It replaces a swing bridge. Behind the bridge is a pipe bridge taking services over the canal. There is a anti-vehicle gate here too to prevent motorbikes and the disabled from getting along the canal. There is a brick wall here which is the remains of the Victoria Brewery.
